Research Week at Counties Manukau

Two of our team members participated in the Māori and Pasifika showcase at Research Week at Counties Manukau, held at Ko Awatea, Middlemore Hospital between 12 – 16 October 2020.

Dr Karen Brewer (Ngaiterangi) spoke on “Improving speech therapy services for Māori with stroke-related aphasia.” Julie Winter Smith (Tongan) spoke on “Understanding pacific ethnicity and its relationship to cardiovascular disease.”
